As of the April 22 deadline, nearly 2,700 players had entered the transfer portal, with over 100 declaring for the NBA draft by the April 26 deadline. Meanwhile, numerous high school seniors have altered their commitments due to roster changes and coaching shifts.

Some terms are quite clear, but here’s a brief overview:

• Departed or expected to depart: This includes players who declared for the NBA draft with no intention of returning, those who have exhausted their eligibility, and those who entered the transfer portal.
• In limbo: This category consists of players whose future is uncertain, primarily those who have declared for the NBA draft but might choose to return to college.
• Expected to return: This encompasses players who haven’t entered the portal and still have eligibility left. Newcomer rankings are sourced from ESPN’s recruiting database.
