ATLANTA — Paris Saint-Germain’s head coach, Luis Enrique, cautioned his squad about underestimating the attacking prowess of Inter Miami ahead of their Club World Cup round-of-16 clash this Sunday. He highlighted the potential impact of seasoned players like Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets.

“In football, a moment of relaxation can cost you dearly. It’s clear that they possess immense talent and quality, which they haven’t lost. After reviewing all three of Inter Miami’s matches, I can confidently say they have what it takes. “If we can’t take the ball off them, things will look grim. Busquets remains as reliable as ever, while Messi is simply unparalleled with the ball at his feet. Just look at the last goal Suárez scored; his skill was remarkable. And Alba? He’s still making those deep runs like he always has.”

Enrique emphasized the importance of maintaining intensity, stating, “We all recognize Messi’s iconic pass to Jordi, and it continues to be effective. With a tactician like Mascherano in charge, it’s clear that we must perform excellently, or they will seize the victory effortlessly; that much is certain.”

“Without question, I always saw Mascherano as a future coach. He transitioned from midfielder to center-back, showcasing his adaptability under Pep Guardiola. If I had to name two players destined for coaching success, it would be Javier Mascherano and Sergio Busquets. Busi definitely has what it takes to be an outstanding coach, and both were extensions of the coaching staff on the field due to their leadership and midfield dominance.”
