The New York Yankees are gearing up to celebrate their beloved ‘assistant to the traveling secretary’ once more this season.
On August 21, during a thrilling game against the Boston Red Sox, the first 18,000 attendees will be gifted a unique bobblehead featuring George Costanza dozing off under the desk of former owner George Steinbrenner. This event is part of the much-anticipated ‘Seinfeld Night’ at Yankee Stadium.
This collectible figurine captures Costanza, a fan-favorite character from the iconic series ‘Seinfeld,’ in a memorable moment from Season 8’s episode titled ‘The Nap.’ Accompanying the figure is one of Costanza’s classic lines: ‘I love a good nap. That’s the only thing getting me out of bed in the morning.’

Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 21, and make sure to join us at @yankeestadium for Seinfeld Night! The first 18,000 fans will walk away with a George Costanza bobblehead. Don’t miss out on this exciting giveaway! 🎟️👉https://t.co/9qKKKUfDRJ
In the classic 1997 episode, portrayed by Jason Alexander, Costanza cleverly turns his office into a nap haven by enlisting the help of a handyman to create more space beneath his desk for comfort items like an alarm clock and a cup holder. ‘This is better than my bed at home,’ he exclaims after setting it up.
However, the fun takes a turn when Steinbrenner, voiced by Larry David, enters his office searching for Costanza. When he can’t locate him, he decides to wait it out. Eventually, Costanza must call his friend Jerry Seinfeld to stage a fake emergency to lure Steinbrenner away.
Interestingly, the Yankees had previously offered a Costanza bobblehead during a game against the Red Sox last season, where he was depicted in his batting stance complete with a dress shirt and pants. Fans were so excited that many lined up four hours before the first pitch for the giveaway!
