His decision will hinge on his physical condition, but you can’t extinguish Leo’s fierce desire to compete and support his team. It’s simply in his DNA—he’s exceptional,” Otamendi emphasized.
This season, Messi has made a significant impact at Inter Miami, netting 10 goals and assisting six times across 13 league matches, earning the MLS Player of the Month award in May. His crowning achievement with Argentina came during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where La Albiceleste overcame an unexpected loss to Saudi Arabia in their opener to ultimately claim victory. Following that success, Messi led Argentina to another triumph at the 2024 Copa América. The team has already secured its spot for next year’s World Cup, which will take place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
